A large number of Bed Bath & Beyond stores shall remain shut till the end of the month, as of now. The retail company announces on Friday their plans of reopening 20 stores across the country. The reopening is based on the relaxation of the restrictions in the respective locations.

The retailer is expanding its omnichannel services through its BOPIS and curbside pickup practice. The expansion will include 200 more locations country-wide. This brings up the total tally to 750 of their locations providing this contact-less service.
The retail company will also begin to improve their capabilities of shipping online orders within two days or less. The company shall take orders that can be picked up by the customer. The customers can pick them up within two hours through curbside pickup or BOPIS services.
Buy Buy Baby and Harmon Face Value are extensions of the retail giant. These stores have continued to function as they are deemed essential services.
The Store Safety Plan
By 22 May, the company is gearing up to reopen 20 Christmas Tree Shops stores along with the 20 Bed Bath & Beyond stores. All these plans shall proceed by following health regulation out in place by the state and local governments.
The company has a new Store Safety Plan in place to ensure the safety of the employees and the customers. The plans include protective supplies and health checks for employees. Social distancing where possible and enhanced cleaning as suggested by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
As an extension to the plan, there shall be a limit on occupancy and reduced store hours. Hand sanitizer dispensers and cart wipes are available for use by all.
