Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., an omnichannel retailer, announces the appointment of the company’s new Executive Vice President (EVP), the Chief Brand Officer and the President of Decorist.

Cindy Davis, previously a lingerie executive is to take up her new role in the company from 26 May 2020. She will report directly to the President and CEO of Bed Bath & Beyond, Mark Tritton.

The company excels in the sale of home furnishings and domestic merchandise. This includes a variety of textile products, amenities and goods. They are of use in the cruise line, healthcare, hospitality among other industries.

Davis’ responsibilities

The company is relying on Davis to lead the brand strategy and marketing through which the implementation of the strategic growth plan will take place.  She will also take care of stewardship and communication across all retail banners.

Davis is also in charge of expanding Bed Bath & Beyond’s online interior design platform, Decorist. This is a part of accelerating the company’s digital achievements to increase customer retention.

Apart from all of this, she will also help the company through massive store closures due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

Davis has held leadership positions at several retail brands; including Hilton Hotels, Sam’s Club, Starwood Hotels and Walmart, Yum! Brands. She was also the Executive Vice President at Disney/ABC Television.

Davis is joining the company after her employment at Victoria’s Secret owner L Brands Inc., since her appointment in 2018. the Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Marketing Officer is her title at L Brands.

Tritton remarks on the appointment of Davis that follows a long list of other executives appointed in the company. He did so to establish a team of wonderful leadership in order to strengthen the business in home spaces.
