Interior of the E-Class Coupe
The Cabrio teaser campaign by Mercedes now gives us a peak into the interior of the new automobile. A notable difference in the new coupe is the MBUX infotainment system that is replacing the old COMAND setup in the previous version.
The down-grading versions have a pair of 10.25-inch screens. A 12.3-inch arrangement for the driver’s display adorns the upgraded version of the car. Either way, the dual-screen setup is a constant.
Earlier this year, the upgrades on the E-Class sedan and wagon were made official. It features the four-spoke wheel that is also in the New S-Class, as unofficial photographs reveal.
In the 2021 Mercedes E-Class Coupe, the buyer can choose from an all-leather, wood or leather steering wheel with a supersport design.
The spokes have touch controls switching from optical to capacitive sensors along with a glossy black finish to them. The rim features built-in capacitive sensors that sense whether the driver has their hands on the wheel or not.
In terms of safety, the E-Class Coupe consists of systems such as an active blind spot assist with exit warning, brake assist, the stop-and-go assist, and the steering assist. Apart from support for parking in parallel and end-on parking spaces, the E-Class has automatic parking.
The infotainment system in the coupe will be Mercedes’ latest and greatest. It has augmented tech for navigation. The tech makes it impossible for the driver to miss a turn.
