The news of the pushing of the 2020 National Conference to 2021 is out. The announcement comes from the Interior Design Society.
Originally, the IDS National Conference was to take place in Chicago from 6 August to 9 August. The confirmation of a date for the conference in 2021 is yet to take place.

The decision of the conference’s postponement was a collective decision of the Conference Committee, IDS Executive Committee, and the National Staff.
The decision takes into consideration the situation at hand what with the COVID-19 pandemic taking over. The restrictions on travel and gathering as well as the steady decline in the economy also influenced the decision.
With setting a suitable date in 2021 a priority, the Interior Design Society is thinking up innovative ways of honouring the recipients of the 2020 Designer of the Year awards program.
