The Light + Building 2020 event was all set to take place in Frankfurt in the month of March, as is its usual time. But there was the later decision to hold the show from 27 September to 2 October 2020 due to the rising of restrictions.
But seeing the way in which the COVID-19 situation is proceeding, the authorities have officially postponed the event to 2022.
Due to the world-wide situation caused by the Corona pandemic and the prohibitions on events and travel restrictions, Messe Frankfurt has decided jointly with its partners to defer the 11th Light + Building and to hold it from 13 to 18 March 2022.https://t.co/zYgLMHLjvL pic.twitter.com/Y3C1xuQEJd

The decision was made official by Messe Frankfurt. Their partners ZVEI and ZVEH and the Trade Fair Advisory Council were in complete agreement with the decision.
