The public see the cancelation of yet another event due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic. NY Now has made an announcement regarding the cancelation of the summer market of 2020.

About the event

NY Now, a market that sells in wholesale, is working hard alongside Shoppe Object to ensure that the event can take place in the month of October this year. The New York Market Week was to happen from 8 August to 12 August at the Jacob Javits Center.

The schedule for the Fall showcase of NY Now is from 18 October to 20 October at the Jacob Javits Center. Whereas, the staging of the Pier 36 is from 20 October to 22 October announces Shoppe Object.

NY Now and Shoppe Object that both cater to speciality buyers will coordinate with the event venue to put up a safe show. To do this, they will ensure to follow the health guidelines proposed by the CDC and the WHO.

The SVP of retail at NY Now, Tim Hart spoke about the cancellation of the summer market. The role of the event is to bring together brands and buyers together to inspire and discover. The company is coordinating along with Shoppe Object with the safety of their employees and attendees in mind.

The co-founder of Shoppe Object, Jesse James says that they are all eagerly tracking the progression of the pandemic. He wishes good health and safety for all and hopes to see the buyers attend the market in mid-autumn.
